Brooklyn SPACE Broadway Stages Buys Additional Greenpoint Property for $10 M

New York, 07/23/2010 - Greenpoint - Broadway Stages, a firm that owns several buildings and sound stages in Greenpoint, has acquired another property in the area, according to Neil Dolgin, executive vice president of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates.

The site, at 365 Kingsland Avenue, between Norman & Greenpoint Avenues, was purchased for $10 million, according to Dolgin, who along with Joseph Nicholas and Jean Cook, represented both the seller and the buyer.

It features a 20,000 square foot building on a lot of 114,000 square feet that is zoned M-3 for industrial use. It was previously used for parking and storage of trucks and other equipment.

"Broadway Stages owns a lot of buildings in the area and has a few adjacent buildings to this property, which is why they oped to purchase it. Initially, Broadway Stages plans to use the land to store some of their lighting equipment and will be using the existing 20,000 square foot buidlng for more of their shoots," Dolgin said. "Eventually, they will build more warehouse type buildings on the land and renovate the existing building."
