New York’s Real Estate and Construction Council is throwing its weight behind the rebuilding of the city’s cultural landscape.
The group hosted the first in-person, live performance celebration at Lincoln Center since it was forced to cancel its programs and close its doors to the public last March.
Jonathan L. Mechanic, chairman of Fried Frank’s Real Estate Department, co-chaired the Restart Lincoln Center Gala which featured a live performance by acclaimed opera singer and Tony Award-winning Broadway star Paulo Szot, and a curated menu designed by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson.
The benefit brought together over 150 people to raise proceeds in support of Lincoln Center, whose loses during the COVID crisis ran in the tens of million.
