Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, Inc. (KDA) has arranged the sale of a 32,000 SF, two-story property at 5718 2nd Avenue in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn, NY for $12.1 million. Kalmon Dolgin and Neil Dolgin, co-presidents of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, made the announcement.
KDA brokers Jeffrey Unger and Robert Klein represented the buyer, NYU / Lutheran Medical Center, and the seller, S.I.B.R. Realty, LLC.
The concrete and steel building at 5817 2nd Avenue is in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, and has 20-foot ceilings, a 7,000 SF mezzanine, and 12,500 SF floor plates. It is near the Brooklyn Army Terminal and one block away from the NYU / Lutheran Medical Center on 55th Street. Transportation options near 5718 2nd Avenue include the B11 bus route, Gowanus Expressway/Belt Parkway, and the R subway line.
“The purchase of 5718 2nd Avenue was a desirable deal for NYU / Lutheran, as it allows the medical center to control its future growth in the region,” said Neil Dolgin of KDA. “The Sunset Park area is experiencing a transformation and we’re seeing tenants in a variety of industries looking to occupy space here.”
In the Sunset Park area, Jeff Unger and Bob Klein of KDA are exclusively marketing for sale or lease, a three-story, 164,000 SF warehouse at 170 53rd Street, the leasing at 850 Third Avenue, a 1 million SF industrial complex, and 3912 2nd Avenue, a 135,000 SF complex.
